The Waiau Pa 5000 Fun Run at Clarks Beach in Franklin District is an annual 5km fun run and walk organised by the local Waiau Pa Netball Club as a fundraising venture.
This small and family friendly 5km course takes the participants around the streets of Clarks Beach, and has a trophy presentation at the completion of the event, including a teams trophy for four runners, with their times combined for the total score. There will be great spot prizes along with sausages and drinks for sale.

Commences from Torkar Road Reserve, by Clarks Beach Yatch Club.
Parking available at the Reserve.

Team Rules

Teams must consist of 4 runners

The winning team will have the lowest combined time

Teams can be made up of any combination of age group and gender categories

Teams event are for Runners only

Runners can walk if needed
Walkers cannot run, you must walk the entire distance or you will be disqualified
No Bikes, Scooters or Rollerblades
Prams are allowed
Spot prizes - registered participant to be present when drawn
Sausages & drinks for sale
Drink station on course at the half way mark
The streets will not be closed to traffic but there will be marshals on the course
